Optimizing your Website in Google
and Other Search Engines

1. Standard Optimization Plan

For a one-time charge of $450, VetNetwork prepares and programs your website for search engine listings and listings with Google. While we have experience doing this for many of our veterinary clients and have received good results, we cannot promise a definite higher listing as search engines operate on their own schedule and sometimes need constant, intelligent data to increase site rankings. But be certain of this: $450 is a very good deal and having at least one round of optimization is far more beneficial than nothing at all.

Simply put, a website that is not classified or is incorrectly or poorly classified by search engines is not seen by the public.

What is included in this one-time charge?

• Re-wording of some text in the website to better fit into common search terms
• Registration with the Open Directory Project (DMOZ) (This directory is where the majority of Google's searches originate)
• Paying for an expedited Yahoo Search entry
• Setting up a Google Adwords account which you can manage. When people search on Google using one of your keywords, your ad may appear next to the search results. (Click-throughs to your website will be charged directly to you and the costs associated vary; please call for more information.)

2. Comprehensive Optimization Plan

To have your optimization continuously monitored and resubmitted to search engines, we offer a more comprehensive optimization plan which includes all of the above carried out over a longer term. We also conduct extensive research to find the appropriate link partners for your site, while steering clear of inappropriate sites that can damage your rankings. We work out the details with the other businesses for the link exchange and add the new page to your website. We monitor your links partners to make sure that your link is appropriately placed on their website. As you can imagine, this is a time consuming process.

The fee for long-term optimization of your veterinary hospital website is $1500. This is a carefully monitored and adjusted program that is carried out over several months, as Google and other search engines can require several resubmissions and tweaks to your website content before your rankings increase.
