Our pets are so loved that if anything were to happen to them we’d be devastated. One of the most traumatic experiences can be if we lose our pet and it can happen so fast that often there is nothing we can do about it. Many pet owners forgo getting microchips as they feel they may harm their pet but what people need to realise is that the benefits far outweigh any perceived risks. You may have heard that microchips can cause cancer or that they are painful, but the reality is that this is complete misinformation. The increased chances of being reunited with your pet if they are lost is what you should be focussing on when thinking about microchipping.

Remember that your pet also needs to have a collar and an ID tag as these are often the first thing people use to get in touch with you. The microchip is only used if your lost pet finds their way to an animal shelter or vet. Read the full infographic now for more information.
